Brian J. Porter is a corporate director.

Mr. Porter previously served as Scotiabank’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Porter is a member and past Chair of the University Health Network (UHN) Board of Trustees, a member of the Board of Directors of Emera Inc. and Ontario Infrastructure Bank, Chair of the Board of Governors of Huron University College at Western University and Chair of the Board of the Atlantic Salmon Federation (Canada). Mr. Porter earned a B.Comm. from Dalhousie University, and has been awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws (LLD) from Dalhousie University in 2008 and Ryerson University in 2018. He is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
